Steps to Enter into a Deep State of Trance

Let us discuss about the steps to achieve a deep trance state. I can't guarantee that you will reach a deep trance state the first time you practice this. But, hopefully, with enough practice you will enter a deep trance state!

Deep trance state can be reached during meditation. It can also be reached during sleep. Advanced meditators reach a deep trance state in sitting pose, during meditation.

Reaching deep trance state while lying down is easier, and this is what I recommend to those who are just starting out.


Cosmic Energy

Lie down in sleeping position, lie flat on your back, do not turn sideways. Keep your body relaxed, and your hands straight, as in savasana posture.

Think about a white, divine, cosmic energy which is flowing all around you, to recharge you, to energize you. Imagine that you are lying in space, surrounded by all sides with this white, brilliant, effulgent, illuminating energy.


Body Relaxation

Now start taking deep breaths. Breathe slowly, deeply, and rhythmically. Don't stress yourself. Try to reach a natural, relaxed, state.

Imagine the radiant energy vitalizing all parts of your body, starting with your toe, till the crown of your head. With each deep breath, imagine the energy illuminating your toes, legs, lower body, upper body, your back, shoulders, hands, face, till the crown.


Central Channel Relaxation

Next, visualize your central channel, a white vertical tube from the bottom of your spine till the crown of your head. Imagine the energy vitalizing and activating all your seven chakras - the root chakra, the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the third eye chakra, and the crown chakra.


Clear Your Mind

Clear your mind from all thoughts. Imagine a calm lake, the water being steady. Or, imagine a candle which is not flickering. Clear your mind from all your thoughts, worries, plans.

Remain calm. If any thought enters your mind, try your best to think about the cosmic white, divine energy illuminating your mind.


Trance State

If you followed all these steps correctly, naturally you will reach nearer to the trance state. All you have to do now is maintain that state, without falling asleep.

Slowly, you will start losing your body consciousness, with your mind wide alert and awake. You might get vibrations all over your body. This is the state of trance. When this state is very deep that you get intense vibrations, you reach the state of deep trance.

Deep trance state is the basis of meditation, astral travel, all out of body experiences. Deep trance state is a prerequisite of advanced practices like chakra awakening and kundalini awakening practices.

The Difference Between Meditation and Astral Travel

Meditation and Astral Travel

I hear many people asking about the difference between Meditation and Astral Travel. Are they different? Is there a related phenomenon? Is there something common between the two? Here, this is exactly what I like to take up. Let's dive deep into this vast subject!


Trance State

Before exploring what exactly is meditation and astral travel, let me tell you about the Trance state. Trance is the common link, a launching pad, a prerequisite to both meditation and astral travel.

The trance state is a state where the body is completely relaxed and the mind, wide awake. This state occurs in deep meditation. During meditation, you can dive deep layer after layer and enter into the trance state. As you make progress in meditation, you will achieve deep trance state.


Trance During Sleep

There is another way to go into the trance state - during sleep. With practice, you can go into the trance state before you fall asleep. This is the state where you have a good chance to enter into lucid dreams, astral projections or out of body experiences.

In deep trance state you will get spirit awareness and you will be filled with vibrations. At this point, you might have the chance to go for out of body experiences like astral travel and lucid dreams. When astral travel occurs in deep trance state, you will feel like you are flying. At that moment, you feel you are the spirit and you are flying rapidly in the space.

Now that we have seen what exactly is the trance state, let us discuss more about astral travel and meditation.


Astral Travel

Astral travel is one of the steps in meditation. One of the milestones. Some people stumble into trance state and astral travel in sleep. Others, who are more spiritually inclined, and those who seriously take up spirituality, can achieve astral projection with regular practice.

Astral travel can also be achieved by meditation. Advanced meditators do chakra work and try to activate their chakras, such as the third eye chakra, during astral travel and out of body experiences.


Meditation 

Meditation is a vast subject, like treading a hill. Oneness is the goal of Meditation. Those who regularly practice meditation and often accompanied with chakra work and breathing exercises like pranayama or energy work, see results. Astral travel is one of the progress signs of meditation.

I encourage you to set aside 5 to 10 minutes per day for meditation. Also, watch out carefully for the exact point when you fall asleep. Practicing this tip may give you good results in getting astral projections!
